His actions are grandiose and he sets the stage by doing things on a truly global scale. He infiltration of Chalky White's empire was equal parts gutter gangster and Freudian to a fault. While the other characters simply are dealing with their issues with bullets and double crosses. Dr. Narcisse has a plan that will in his mind liberate African Americans from a fate he himself can only truly perceive and that only he can eliminate. Not unlike any other supervillan he has people every where will to do his bidding at a moments notice his plans come together making Hannibal Lecter seem humane. To see a real life supervillan at play while Boardwalk tosses around its other story lines is too live. -thegqlife

Dr. Narcisse = Dr. Doom - What it took to be a black gangster back in the day
Boardwalk Empire has always had bits of historical data peppered throughout it's story lines. None better than the current character of Dr. Valentine Narcisse portrayed by actor Jeffrey Wright. The character's ambition as a criminal pales in comparison to the shows other characters like Nucky Thompson and Meyer Lansky. You see the good doctor has much more in common with Dr. Doom the foil of Marvel Comic's the Fantastic Four.
