The Hottest Rap Song this second

Jay Z and Jay Electronica on a track! Their redintion of "We made it" is a banger. Seem like Jay Electronica is gearing up to drop his solo album. If we get bars like this on it we may have a classic soon. Until then listen to this track it won't dissapoint. -thegqlifw

The Winner of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament will be.....

Sports are always intriguing. March Madness is one of the more interesting times because unlike professional basketball, lower seeded teams actually may win a playoff game. I am picking the Kansas Jayhawks to win it all! Why? Watch this year's tournament and see for yourself. -thegqlife

Do you call yourself a Batman fan? Then how the #### aren't you watching TheCw television's Arrow?

Batman is quite possible the world's most popular comic book superhero. Arrow on the other hand is not. That is all changing as Arrow has picked up so much steam since it's debut on TheCw television in the fall of 2012. The show stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen a spoiled billionaire that washes up on a mysterious island. He goes through a transformation so grand he returns back to his home of Starling City as a superhero dubbed the "Arrow". This show is so awe inspiring because it is set in the DC Comic's universe that Batman is occupies. During the show viewers have gotten a chance to see many Batman alies and villians.

Deadshot is one of the many supervillans that make cameos on Arrow

This week's episode, "Suicide Squad" viewers even got a brief abliet hilarious cameo for none other than the Joker's girlfriend Harley Quinn. The Joker is Batman's greatest archvillan. The show Arrow drops gems like that all the time. A couple of weeks ago we witnessed the birth of "The Flash" another popular DC Comic superhero. Like I said in the title. If you call yourself a Batman fan. How the #### aren't you watching Arrow. -thegqlife

Adult Swim's Rick and Morty prepare to ascend to the top of cartoon comedy's throne

Adult Swim's Rick and Morty created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland on the cartoon network which airs at 10:30pm on Mondays is funny and fascinating. It is an adult themed cartoon that is giving the likes of Family Guy, South Park, and The Boondocks a run for it's money.

The show is about a genius scientist and his grandfather and their adventures through time and space. It has very good handle on theoritical science. For instance on the lastest episode Rick modifies the family's cable televison box to recieve televison from all other alternate realites. Suffice it to say by the time they get to a channel where there is a baby legged detective show things continue to get weirder. The show sometimes even throws in some really heart tugging stuff. Watch Rick and Morty you will not see the jokes or life lessons coming. -thegqlife

The Hottest Rap Song this second is...

Posting the hottest rap song is always easy for me. I usually go out and listen to what people are playing at the clubs, the radio, and finally what rap song is currently holding the hip heads playlist for ransom. This week I picking Future "Move that dope", featuring Pharell, Casino, and Pusha T(aka King Push). This rap song has Future and company raping over a Mike Will produced beat. The subject matter is not a popular one. However this song is built for driving fast and 90 degree weather. This song will make the club get hype and have your grandma twerking to it at the family barbeque.-thegqlife

The Top Ten ways I think you can win Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge

What could you do with one billion dollars? Think about it I will give you a second to think. You could do a whole lot right! Someone may not have to think about it soon. Someone out there may win one billion dollars by winning Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge. Quicken Loans is offering the chance to win one billion dollars if you pick a perfect bracket in the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament. Picking a perfect bracket is beyond hard. Experts have thrown out many examples of how impossible it is to create a perfect bracket. This is thegqlife and we don't believe in impossible below are the top ten ways I think you could win the one billion dollars.

1. Track all the players and coaches social media pages- Search through their instagrams, vines, facebooks, twitter and whatever else is out there. If the lead point guard just broke up with his girlfriend he may be on the way to implosion. Use the information that is out there to make your picks.

2. EA Sports NCAA College Basketball 2010- This game is 4 years old and it is still $29.99. Why? It is because Electronic Arts hasn't made a new college basketball game since then. However you can still download rosters on eBay and other sites that are up to date. Simulate the field of teams and go with your gut!

3. Pick upset games- The fact that upset games exist is why brackets are so hard to predict look at the games critically and pick the upset games.

4. Find out the teams with the moat NBA prospects- Players want to get chosen high in the draft you do that by winning games in the tournament. They want to ride Ferrari during spring classes. So go with the teams with the most future pro players.

5. Don't listen to bracket experts- This one is easy because if they were always right this contest would not exist.

6Watch for cocky twitter posts- This may be redundant but if a player says for instance tweets, "where is Wichita State are they a real school!!lol #fakeschool" know that the school dissed will not lose, this generation respects twitter more than their parents.

7. Free throws- Free throws win championships, if a team shoots a high free throw percentage then that team will win in a pinch. College teams are coached to foul weaker free throw shooters. So pick accordingly.

8. Never relay on dominate athletes with no help- I like Jabari Parker that plays for Duke University a lot he can take over a game and be dominant on the court. However he may not be able to overcome the petty basketball tactics that is employed at this level. Don't be a fan of your favorite player and let that influence how you pick out your brackets.

9. Don't put your Alma Mater in the championship- Yes you went to Western Michigan University picking them to win the championship may not be the best thing to do. Don't let your school pride stop you from getting that one billion dollars

10. Pull out your calculator- If you use an equation that can figure out all probable outcomes you can figure out who will win where and how. Good luck with that one thought because you can never account for how humans will react from moment to moment let alone a basketball game.

Any of these 10 things may turn you into a billionaire. The question is will you share with the winnings with thegqlife?

Andrew Wiggins is the next Lebron James whether you like it or not

My instincts don't lie, I have seen this before. One time I was 16 and it felt good to throw the ball off the backboard to myself because that is what I saw soon to be superstar Kobe Bryant do. I thought to myself then is that this guy could be better than Michael Jordan one day. I was an little ham then so I went to the barbershop and started to spout my theory about Kobe, a few bad line ups later I realized I should find a Kobe fan to cut my hair. Then I saw Lebron James throw down his trademark tomahawk during ESPN nationally televised game. I was like this guy will be better than Kobe one day, again I headed down to the barber shop to spew this theory. Now I am here once again, no it wasn't Kansas University's Andrew Wiggins 41 point game today against West Virginia. It was that mixtape of his Senior year playing for Huntington Prep in ironically the state of West Virginia. You see I had only been to the barber shop once this year to shell out my theory about Andrew being better than Lebron James. So I am glad that I have more to add to my theory. I think it makes people feel some type of way when the dominant athlete of their generation gets compared to some young upstart. Its like finally really admitting that you are old and that their really maybe a better new and improved model. This will not change whether you like it or not. As far as basketball goes Mr. Wiggins is that new program upgrade at work that you don't like because it is new and different. Don't take him with the number one pick in the National Basketball Association draft, I dare you. -thegqlife

Fox Television's Rake is dope

Keegan Dean or "Key" as he is known on the show is portrayed by Greg Kinnear is a manipulative drunk lawyer and I can't get enough of his drama. Seeing him down on his luck and his interaction with this brilliant cast is inspiring every character in Rake has depth and complexity. The show is very well written and the guest stars like Wes Anderson and Michael Ironside add to the show in subtle but great nuanced ways. The picture above is when he brings home a woman to his apartment for relations. Her reaction to his place was, "I thought you were a lawyer!" Funny stuff and for those on Earth that are down on your luck like my boy Key, watch this show and realize it could be worse. -thegqlife

"Sticking to their guns and ####" South Park The Stick of Truth Videogame Review

Do you have a dark sense of humor? Do you find the humor in everything? I am not talking about the fact that everyone thinks you are so "sarcastic". Sarcasm is the "punk #####" of the humor family tree so that doesn't count as having a dark sense of humor. A dark sense of humor requires you can make an analysis of anything and joke about it and not sarcastically but in a original satirical way. If you said yes to that, then seeing Nazi Zombies, characters having massive farting attacks, and other macabre things won't bother you.

South Park The Stick of Truth is really a playable 16 hour South Park episode

South Park The Stick of Truth is a role playing game by Obisidian studios creators of the excellent Fallout Series. This game from the onset is all about putting you directly in the world of South Park. You begin as the new kid in town by customizing your player anyway you like then being sent out by your parents to make friends. It was so much fun to really walk around South Park meeting this cast of characters that I've come to know over the past seasons. The game play is simple but hard to master. Turn based combat is the rule of the day. The best part of the game is that the whole world is open from the beginning. There is a ton to see and do in this game. From getting adducted by aliens to being shrank by "underpants gnomes".
I highly recommend this game, it is amazing that the first game to capture a cartoon world exactly in a video game is one strictly for adults. -thegqlife

The most essential dating item

I think while dating, it is important to have ability to go see how other countries live. The way that the British approach life is different, however they have things that are the same as here in the United States. If you go see that with your significant other, that experience can be shared. Also the best way to get to know someone is outside of their comfort zone, and if you can chill with them in Rome, Italy. You can chill with them on your couch watching “The Goldbergs”. If you can’t get along will touring the Louvre in Paris, France you probably never will. That is why the passport is the most essential relationship item. Going to other countries will definitely let you know if you have a keeper. -thegqlife

Yes the Devil is a Lie, Mastermind Album Review

A great rap album has to have a few things going for it. Things like songs you don't skip. Also it will have features that are memorable and new concepts that will soon become apart of pop culture's mainstream soul. A classic rap album has that but takes you to place that you didn't think you will be pulling up on, for instance the next time you are dining on some sushi with that bad chick you want to ride with you. Then you will likely think of Ross verse during, "Nobody" where he stats "having sushi down at Noble strapped like an Afghan". Or when on the song Nobody, P. Diddy ask anyone who has ever had dream. "When are you going to embrace your destiny"  it is then followed by him cussing you out for not being to work the journey alone if you have to in order to get said dreams. With content like that this album is indicative of it's Mastermind title. Tackling new heights with nothing but God and the power of your mind. Heedy stuff for a rap album, maybe if you don't like this type of rap because of what you think you know about inner city culture from a perspective that is now drowned out by misreprensentation. I do so it resonates with me. Rick Ross even has gems like, "The Devil is a Lie" featuring JayZ. JayZ answers everyones notions that he is apart of the some type Illuminati by saying, "am I down with the devil cause my roof comes up missing" and later saying, "devil want the #####s hate they own kind, gotta be the illuninati if a ##### shine". Like I said heedy stuff, I didn't even get into how Lil Wayne turns in a nice verse on Thug Cry. I am saying with all that added up together you get a classic album. -thegqlife

This track is memorable as the hook, it makes me want to cut a rug. -thegqlife

The Steambox is a revolutionary gaming system that will bring personal computer gaming to the forefront. Below are my 3 reasons why the Steambox may take the next generation of gaming.

1. What it can do:

Steambox has many different manufactures making it and many different shapes. It offers a price range that can start at $299.99 USD or up to $799.99 USD.

3. It will be the new cool kid on the block
With touch pad control for the dual analog sticks and Half Life 3 being a potential exclusive the Steambox is ready to rule

Those are my reasons, and I am the as always.-thegqlife

The Top 5 PS4/Xbox One Games Coming Soon

The new video games systems are here and there happens to be no games to play, yet. That changes a little bit with Infamous: Second Son dropping for the Playstation 4 and Titanfall for the Xbox One in March. So below are ten games that should hold your imagination until they come out. This list is in order of importantance and how much potential they hold to sell systems. All of these titles are 100 percent confirmed.

1.Halo 5, the console war will forever be won by exclusives. People who prefer personal computer gaming never have understood why people love consoles. Personal computers offer advance graphics, larger multiplayer numbers, and more varied artificial intelligence. With all that still personal computers don't have blockbuster exclusives. That may change with the Valve's Steambox. Until it does I am going to with consoles. That long introduction was to point Halo 5 is looming on the horizon. The Master Chief came back in Halo 4 like he was always King. Now with the power of the Xbox One watch him go to work while you Skype with your brother in law. Halo 5 will look stellar and make a leap to the next generation. Halo was one of the few games to squeeze everything out the Xbox. I am sure 343 Studios will produce a gem. Giving those who have followed Halo since it was unvealed as Macintosh exclusive back in 2000 and the Master Chief was riding Dinosaurs in the technological demonstration. Halo has always made many promises, I have a strong feeling that they will deliver this time in spades. With a television series about Halo with Steven Spielberg at the helm, the potential for it to be a system seller can't be denied.

2. Uncharted 4: Drake's Deception
Nathan Drake starred in 3 games the Playstation 3. The Uncharted series have always been a real strong presentation of what games strive to be in the terms of generation. The Uncharted series is like what an Indiana Jones games should have played like. The games's hollywood movie visuals along with its precise gunplay on par with Gears of War. Now it is coming to Playstation 4 I expect this game to be draw dropping.

3. Destiny, The inventors of Halo have gone multiplatform. Meaning this will be available for everyone that means Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita,Personal Computer, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. Man that is alot of platforms. Bungie is finally giving everybody a taste of what the Xboxers have known for a while, their games just play special. Their new multiplatform game will have player team up for quests, fight against each, while events are happening while the game world will change around you. The story in this game is about an alien who visits earth and ushers in a new age of humanity getting a lot done and even got the human race out into the stars. That was until some other big bad aliens came and destroyed most of Earth. Now the last Human city is protected by the last of the good alien's power. The graphics will be eye popping expect this tomove a few consoles.

4. The Order 1886, you need games like this, no one cares if the game play isn't revolutionary. The game lost like a computer generated movie. The Order 1886 is about fighting monster while trying to stop the "undercalss" from rebeling and stealing their technology. This game is set in an alternative past but illuminati conspiracy theorists should love this one.

5. Metal Gear 5: The Phantom Pain
The Metal Gear series is very convoluted so rather than talk about it. I say you youtube it and then get back to me. All you need to that its an open world game with more parables than you can shake a stick at!

This Generation of teenagers are hilarious

If you ever heard, "do it for the vine". Then you know what you are going to see next. Your going to see some teens breaking out their flyest dance moves in a matter of seconds all for the social media sharing site Vine. I have messed with teenagers for years because in my eyes they were not inventive enough in their tomfoolery. However thanks to Vine, Worldstarhiphop, Facebook, and Instagram, teens can really cut loose pranking each other and making the stuff that was on the television show "Jackass" look pretty tame. I remember when social media caught fire some 10 years ago people warned that their would be dire ramifications for showing out on social media. I don't think that is true in fact I see it can be used to evaluate creativity and teamwork as some of the  stuff they do is very creative. I am even tempted to pull of something elaborate then I remember I am not 16 and my time for that has passed, tomfoolery is a young person's game. So to the teens out there keep it up and keep it original. -thegqlife

The Hottest Rap Track this second!

The Notorious B.I.G made the classic track "Your nobody until somebody kills you". Rick Ross, Diddy, and French Montona remakes it for Rick Ross new album, "Mastermind". In the beginning Diddy is yelling, "you dont want to embrace your destiny, you want to just get by". A nice message for those who don't feel they measure up to the vision they have for themselves or those that fostered them in some ways. Rick Ross hautingly comes close to not sounding like Biggie but invoking his spirit like a voodoo priest. This is now the hottest hip hop track this second. Ross spits, "having sushi down in noble, strapped like an Afghan soldier" there are many more quotable lines I just suggest you listen to it a few times. Ross did it on this one and I appreciate the cinematic approach. There is a visual vide that can be seen on youtube or worldstarhiphop. Watch it with the speakers turn all the way up and tell you don't smell and see March 1997. Mastermind is in stores and available digitally March 4th, 17 years after the release of the posthomous album, "Life After Death". Very nice way to pay homage because it's been a minute since a great track has payed proper homage to the legend.-thegqlife

The 5 Hottest Songs in Hip Hop this second

It's 12:43pm, I am a hip hop head, my taste in the genre are varied but after bumping official releases from J. Cole, Drake, and Jay Z. Rap has hit a lull of major releases. However we are in the period of where rap music artists are out to create buzz for a album/mixtape or a potential summer banger. With that notion below are my top ten hottest rap music this second!

1. Looking @ss ####s- Nicki Minaj, Nicki has been chilling a verse here and there but none like the one on this single where she has put the industry on notice about her bars.

2. God Body- Coke Boys 4, (French Montana & Chinx Drugz), sometimes a track comes along that explains every way in which hunger and desire for the passion that street life and the quest for the balance of the reasons for moving they way we do comes out. God Body is that track it's like it was made for Miami Memorial Day Weekend.

3. Show me Love-Troy Avenue featuring Tony Yayo, Troy Ave is almost in the mainstream's face but this track serves as notice that it won't be that long.

4. Cuffing Season-Fabolous, yes I know the Soul Tape has been out for a second. However this trap was a theme song of mine for Valentines Day.

5. We Dem Boyz-Wiz Khalifa, Wiz is back with a bouncy club track and I am feeling it!

Those are my tracks that I bumps even as I write this get up on them!-thegqlife

Detroit Rap Music finally touching the global conscious

In the late 90s the female Cha Cha had features from Nas, Junvinile, Memphis Bleek, surely Detroit would get its due in the hip hop world. Nope not a peep. I know we were sent Eminem and D12 luckily. Don't get me wrong that was live! However when you look a the thousands of rappers that have enjoyed the limelight from Atlanta, New Orleans, and California. Detroit hasn't had many as I thought they should. I mean the city has all the makings of a hip hop mecca. That has finally changed. First we got Big Sean, then Danny Brown, and then we got Dope Boyz Cashout.  These artists have the essence of Detroit down pat and display it for the world to see. So get ready for the rise of Detroit Rap Music because it is here! What up doe! -thegqlife

Stuff is about to get real comic book like

It was recently unveiled that the United States Military has completed an "Iron Man" suit to equip it's soldiers as early as June if reports are accurate. This is only the beginning as now the wave of science fiction that has griped the Earth's populace in the form of comic books, television, movies, and countless other forms of produced media are going to be reality.

The race for military supremacy superiority often leads to technological innovations such as when the technology boomed after the Atom Bomb. The first salvo is a suit I have pictured above that will give the user super human ablities.
We are in the future so be prepared for when stuff gets really like a comic book.-thegqlife

So yes I was right about the Dunk Contest

My predictions in my previous post was wrong about the other NBA All Star challenges. However I wasn't wrong about the Dunk Contest. As usual the crowd made it look more boring than it was and the celebrities were trying to look uber cool and some of the participates looked uninvolved. John Wall didn't look like that.

He came, he dunked, and he "dougied" his way to victory.

Like I said, he has been eyeing the event for years and showed out accordingly. I can still dunk to this day and I appreciate some good dunks the most. It's the reason I picked up a basketball. Next up will Lebron James win MVP of the actual All Star game? -thegqlife

2014 NBA All Star Weekend Predictions

All Star weekend has started in New Orleans, yesterday things kicked of with the celebrity game.Secretary of Education Arnie Duncan won the most valuable player award. Which was followed by the Rising Stars Challenge basically a rookie and sophomore all star game. Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons won the MVP of that game. Now on to my picks for the rest of the weekend's events.

Skills Challenge:
Pick: Reggie Jackson, Jackson has been great while Russell Westbrook is out so I am picking him to win a competition where the fundamentals count.

3 Point Shoot Contest:
Pick: Stephen Curry, those that know me know I typically don't like basketball players that won't dunk on opposing players. However Mr. Curry is most watch television due to his range on his jump shot. Not since Larry Bird have I seen a player who lights it up from deep the way he has lighten it up in the league.

Slam Dunk Contest
Pick: John Wall, this is the only pick that was really hard for me. It's hard because back in the 1980s players could go get hammered and still jump from the free throw line and slam the ball home. Now with 1 million social media followers and tremendous financial wealth players either play around and don't take the contest seriously or they act like they don't care if they look bad. Not saying that would happen this year but I don't know who will hang out get all kinds of fried and not perform in the dunk contest. Could be anyone, I am picking John Wall because I know he has been eyeing the contest since he came in the NBA he just wasn't healthy enough to be in it.

2014 All Star Game MVP
Pick: Lebron James, you would have to think at this point All Star MVP trophies wouldn't matter for Lebron. Not true look for him to make a statement and bring the East All Star back if they are behind.

Cuffing Season at it's peak on Valentine's Day

Cuffing Season's official holiday is today also know as Valentines day. As usual it is a day where we reflect on something. What that is depends on the person. I focus on how I find it funny when are dudes quoting "Love Jones" on social media in the days leading up to Vday or how people are genuinely acting like we're are all in the 9th grade. No knock to 9th graders as they seem to get the best out of this day. We all act like that to some degree however more sophomoric. Which brings me to my next notion. Cuffing season ends for many when it gets warm out. As the rapper Fabolous says on his song Cuffing Season, "Now it's getting chilly that's the fall coming!"

Shout out to Fab for that song and for Troy Avenue spitting a freestyle over it.

Take this day to realize what you want around no matter the weather outside or the holiday. -thegqlife
