Detroit Rap Music finally touching the global conscious

In the late 90s the female Cha Cha had features from Nas, Junvinile, Memphis Bleek, surely Detroit would get its due in the hip hop world. Nope not a peep. I know we were sent Eminem and D12 luckily. Don't get me wrong that was live! However when you look a the thousands of rappers that have enjoyed the limelight from Atlanta, New Orleans, and California. Detroit hasn't had many as I thought they should. I mean the city has all the makings of a hip hop mecca. That has finally changed. First we got Big Sean, then Danny Brown, and then we got Dope Boyz Cashout.  These artists have the essence of Detroit down pat and display it for the world to see. So get ready for the rise of Detroit Rap Music because it is here! What up doe! -thegqlife
