Heavy Snow Fall this year reveals America's new fuzzy softness

The year was 1988, I was headed to school in January. Having dodged my Mother putting a gallon of Vaseline on my face I was on my way to school. It was like 5 inches of snow out there. I was happy because this meant a super snowball fight at recess and all my friends would also participate in wrestling in the snow.

Zoom all the way to the year 2014 and
America is now scared of snow, wind chill, and polar vortexes! I don't know if everybody just likes to be soft as silk sheets or everybody loves being afraid but the slightest sight of snow. This leads everyone to act so weirdly scared. I remember I got a few snow days now kids get its "too cold" days too? What the   hay! What happened to bundling up and wearing your pajamas or thermals under everything. I could see if every school or business went along with this foolish snow scared tactic, but they don't. The best private schools haven't been canceling school. McDonald's hasn't closed what I am saying is that don't be soft because of the snow and cold, because your Great Grandmother really did have to walk 10 miles in a snowstorm to get to school. I even walked 1 mile to get to school in quite a few snowstorms. Stop being so soft America. -thegqlife
